It's a precision basket from the IMS Competizione line, designed as an alternative to the standard basket of the Aram Espresso Maker. The even, finely lasered hole pattern guides the water calmly through the puck and supports an even more consistent extraction – especially when you're working with high-quality specialty coffees or using the Aram stationary, without the shot glass docked.
The capacity corresponds to a double espresso. We like to work by weight ratio, around 1:2, and let the weight decide, not the time. It's our observation that the choice of basket fundamentally changes the aromatic profile – that's our view, one of many.
