Nobody needs a second basket for the Aram. You either want it or you don't. This decision comes from curiosity, and we respect that in both directions.
What makes this basket special
It's a precision basket from the IMS Competizione series, intended as an alternative to the standard basket of the Aram Espresso Maker. The consistent, finely laser-cut hole pattern guides the water smoothly through the puck and supports an even more uniform extraction – especially if you're sourcing high-quality specialty coffees or using the Aram stationary without an attached shot glass.
The fill volume corresponds to a double espresso. We prefer to work by weight ratio, about 1:2, and let weight decide, not time. It is our observation that the choice of basket fundamentally changes the aroma profile – this is our view, one of many.
