Bezzera Gasket Set E61 Group Head – IMS Shower Screen & Seal Kit
The lever closes quieter, the portafilter sits firmer in the group, and everything around it stays dry – fresh gaskets for the Bezzera E61 group head.
Silicone and Teflon age quietly. Over thousands of shots they slowly lose their tension, usually long before it shows in the taste – first you notice it as fine moisture around the group, or a portafilter that feels softer when you lock it in than it used to. This set brings seven parts of the Bezzera E61 group head back to original condition in one go.
At its core is the silicone group gasket, along with two lever-arm gaskets, three piston seals, an O-ring for the trumpet, two Teflon gaskets – and an IMS shower screen from the Competition line (Competition Shower7). IMS makes its Competition shower screens with especially precisely placed holes in stainless steel: the brew water spreads more evenly over the coffee bed before it even reaches the grounds – a small part with a noticeable effect on every single shot.

Who it's for
This set is for anyone who'd rather service their Bezzera themselves than have it serviced – with a bit of manual skill and a screwdriver, the swap fits into a quiet afternoon. It's just as much for anyone who'd rather have the parts fitted by someone who knows the machine: our advisory tool or a visit to our showrooms in Bern and Zürich will point you to the right path. Both are valid – our view on maintenance is one of many, your espresso machine stays your decision.
After changing the gaskets, a look at cleaning your machine and grinder is a natural next step, for instance with a group brush for the fresh gasket. If you weigh while you dose: for anyone who wants a scale that's affordable and precise, the Normcore Collection covers everyday use. If you want app connectivity and a flow-rate display, you'll find it in the Acaia Collection. And because the shower screen itself comes from IMS: the IMS Collection has more precision parts for the portafilter, and the Bezzera Accessories Collection has more matching spare parts and accessories.
Frequently Asked Questions
What's included in the gasket set?
Seven parts: the silicone group gasket, two lever-arm gaskets, three piston seals, an O-ring for the trumpet, two Teflon gaskets, and an IMS shower screen from the Competition line (Competition Shower7).
Does the set also fit other espresso machines with an E61 group head?
This set is tuned to Bezzera machines with an E61 group head. Because individual measurements can differ slightly by manufacturer, we recommend a quick check with office@coffeecoachingclub.ch before ordering for other brands.
How do I know the gaskets need changing?
Usually you'll notice it first on the portafilter, which feels softer when you lock it in, or as fine moisture around the group. There's no fixed timeframe for it – how fast silicone and Teflon give way depends on use and water.
Can I fit the gasket set myself?
With a bit of manual skill and a screwdriver, yes. If you'd rather have the parts fitted by someone who knows the machine, our advisory tool or our showrooms in Bern and Zürich will point you to the right path.
Can I see the product before I buy?
Yes, you can experience the set live in our showrooms in Bern (Gerberngasse 44) and Zürich (Hagenholzstrasse 50b).
Roastery Tip
After changing the gaskets, the first shot tastes most honest with a bean you already know well. For most people we recommend Cozy Chocolate or Nutty Delight – full-bodied, aromatic, dense. If you want maximum body without any acidity, reach for Very Nutty. If you want to discover a fruity experience, you'll find it in Wild Peach. Our recommendation is one of many – whichever bean tastes right to you is the right one.
