Fiorenzato Flapper – the flap that helps determine your target weight
The AllGround Sense grinds by weight. The flapper on the spout makes sure the dose ends where the scale ended it: it closes as soon as the flow stops and holds back what would otherwise trickle out with a delay.
A hard or torn flapper closes too late or not at all. The result is tenths of a gram that turn up in the next dose instead of this one – and a grinder that suddenly seems less reliable than it is.
When it's due
When grounds keep falling after grinding. When the flapper has become noticeably hard or shows cracks. When it no longer returns to its starting position on its own. And when your target weight varies more than it used to for no apparent reason.

Who it's for
For anyone who works by weight with the AllGround Sense and takes the last tenths of a gram seriously. And for anyone who orders the small wear parts along with the annual cleaning instead of opening the grinder up a second time later.
What goes with it
Directly related are the complete spout and the removable spout tube. For single dosing we carry the single dose bellows. For care, see machine and grinder cleaning, and for everything else Fiorenzato.
Tip from our workshop
We check the flapper with a finger, not by eye. If it feels stiff rather than springy when you push it back, it's due – even if it still looks like new. This is our routine from Bern and Zurich, not a manufacturer specification. For dialling in we use Nutty Delight, for chocolatey notes Cozy Chocolate and for body Very Nutty. All roasts under Coffee beans.
Returns excluded
Original spare parts are excluded from exchange and return. They are sourced specifically for each order and cannot be resold once they have been installed or test-fitted on the machine. So before ordering, check the model, year of manufacture and serial number of your machine – or drop us a quick line and we'll clarify the fit together. Your rights in the event of defective goods remain unaffected.
Frequently asked questions
How often should I replace the flapper?
There is no fixed interval. Oily roasts and high volumes noticeably shorten its service life.
Does it also fit the AllGround Sense Plus?
Send us your grinder's serial number and we'll check the fit before you order.
Is replacing it something for me or for the workshop?
The flapper sits in the easily accessible spout area. Unplug the grinder first, and it can usually be done without a workshop.
Do I need a new spout at the same time?
Not necessarily. If the channel is intact, the flapper is enough.
Can I see the part in the showroom?
Our showrooms in Bern (Gerberngasse 44) and Zurich (Hagenholzstrasse 50b) show a wide selection, but not our entire range – the display changes. Drop us a quick line at [email protected] before your visit, and we will check whether the product you have in mind is currently there.
