Who it is made for
For anyone replacing a stem on the Flair PRO 2 or setting up a second plunger with a pressure gauge. Flair offers separate stem versions for the Signature, Classic and Signature PRO; this stem is intended for the PRO 2. The pressure gauge and further accessories are in the Flair Espresso collection.
A lever machine needs a grinder that grinds fine enough. Hand grinders such as Comandante or Timemore are among our hand grinders. For dosing and brewing by weight: compact and precise in the Normcore collection, with app and flow rate display in the Acaia collection. If you are comparing electric espresso machines, our advice tool helps narrow down the choice.
Frequently asked questions
Which Flair does the PRO 2 Plunger Stem fit?
The Flair PRO 2. It is inserted into the PRO 2 stainless steel plunger. Flair offers its own stems for the Signature, Classic and Signature PRO.
Is the pressure gauge included with the plunger stem?
No. The stem is supplied without a pressure gauge. You will find the gauge in the Flair Espresso collection.
When do I need a new plunger stem?
When the existing stem is bent or damaged, or if you want to use a pressure gauge on a second plunger. If you are unsure about the fit, [email protected] can help.
How quickly is the plunger stem delivered?
Delivery throughout Switzerland and to Liechtenstein in 2–4 working days. Click & Collect is available in Bern and Zurich Oerlikon.
Tip from the roastery: With the gauge on the stem you can see how pressure builds while you pull the lever. That makes it easier to repeat a shot or change it on purpose. We start at a 1:2 ratio with an espresso with body, Cozy Chocolate or Nutty Delight. For maximum body without acidity we use Very Nutty. This is our recommendation, one of many.
