The washer that supports the Strada glass panel
On the Strada glass panel, there is a washer behind every fastening point. It spreads the force of the screw over a larger area so that the glass is not stressed at a single point. This version measures 8,5 x 14 x 1,5 millimetres and is made of A2 stainless steel.
It is a part worth a few centimes that decides the fate of a panel worth several hundred francs. If a washer is missing or bent, the screw sits directly on the glass – and a glass panel won't forgive that twice.
When it needs replacing
Replace the washer if it is bent, torn or stretched, if it got lost during disassembly, if it shows a film of rust, or if not all washers are there when you refit the panel. When in doubt, it is cheaper to fit a whole new set than to reuse an old washer.

Who it is for
For service workshops that remove and refit a glass panel on the Strada, and for anyone who finds small parts missing after transport or a change of location. If you are removing a panel, it makes sense to order the washers at the same time.
What goes with it
The same panel also carries the plastic washer I.6.002 and the M8 nut for the Strada EP glass panel. The panel itself is the left glass side panel Strada EP. You will find more items in the category Strada spare parts and under Original spare parts.
From our workshop in Bern and Zurich
When we remove a glass panel, we lay the screws, washers and nuts out on a cloth in the order they came off – and anything bent goes straight in the bin instead of back into the machine. That is our routine, not a manufacturer requirement, but it saves searching during reassembly. Afterwards we have a Nutty Delight, sometimes a Cozy Chocolate or a Very Nutty – the full selection is under Coffee beans.
No returns
Original spare parts are excluded from exchange and return. They are sourced specifically for each order and cannot be resold after installation or a trial fitting on the machine. So before ordering, check the model, year of manufacture and serial number of your machine – or drop us a line and we will check the fit together. Your rights in the event of defective goods remain unaffected.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference from washer I.6.002?
L1003 is made of A2 stainless steel and measures 8,5 x 14 x 1,5 mm. I.6.002 is made of transparent PA and measures 8,1 x 14 x 1 mm. Both are fitted to the Strada glass panel, but they are different items – compare material and thickness.
How many washers do I need?
That depends on the number of fastening points on your panel. Our documentation does not state a quantity per machine; count them as you remove them.
Is the screw included?
No. You receive one washer. Screws and nuts are separate items.
Does it also fit the GS3?
The GS3 glass panel uses the rubber washer, which is a different item. Tell us which machine you have and we will check.
Can I pick up the part in your shop?
Yes. We are in Bern at Gerberngasse 44 and in Zurich at Hagenholzstrasse 50b. Just let us know which part you need and we will have it ready for you.
