A lid that closes properly again instead of jamming
Plastic lids are the parts with the shortest lifespan on a grinder. They are taken off several times a day, end up on the worktop, get dropped and are wiped down with cleaning agents. At some point a lug breaks off, the lid sits crooked and the beans go stale because it no longer seals tightly.
A new lid costs a fraction of what a kilo of spoiled beans costs over the weeks – and the grinder looks as if it belongs to the business again, not in the workshop.
When it's due
Replace the lid if a holder or lug is broken, if it no longer sits flat, if the plastic becomes brittle and shows cracks, or if it is so scratched that coffee oils cling to the grooves.

Who it's for
For bars, offices and households with a Macap LEO where the lid was the first part to give out.
What goes with it
For the same grinder, there is the cover for the Leo 55 display and the knob for the grind setting. All Macap items are listed under Macap and PuqPress spare parts, more grinder parts under Coffee grinder accessories and spare parts.
From our workshop in Bern and Zurich
Once a week we wipe out the bean hopper and lid dry, never wet. Coffee oils don't dissolve in water, and damp plastic absorbs the smell of the last beans – that's our routine, not a manufacturer requirement. For the grinding mechanism we use Puly Grind Verde, more products are listed under Machine and grinder cleaning. Then we refill with fresh beans, usually Nutty Delight, sometimes Cozy Chocolate or Very Nutty. The full selection is under Coffee beans.
No returns
Original spare parts are excluded from exchange and return. They are sourced specifically for each order and cannot be resold after installation or trial fitting on the machine. So before ordering, check the model, year of manufacture and serial number of your machine – or send us a quick message and we'll clarify the fit together. Your rights in the event of defective goods remain unaffected.
Frequently asked questions
Is this the lid of the bean hopper?
Our documentation lists this item only as a plastic lid for the LEO, without naming where it is fitted. So we won't make any claims. Tell us which lid you're missing, ideally with a photo, and we'll clarify it before you order.
Why is there no picture?
We don't have a product image for this item. We'd rather show no image than someone else's that shows something different.
What colour is it?
We have no information on that. The only reliable reference is the part number C00043015.
Does it fit every LEO?
The LEO series comes in several versions. Our documentation doesn't mention any restriction, but we'd rather check once than deliver a part that doesn't fit – send us the serial number.
Can I pick up the part from your shop?
Yes. We're in Bern at Gerberngasse 44 and in Zurich at Hagenholzstrasse 50b. Send us a quick message saying which part you need and we'll have it ready.
Questions about the fit? Write to us at [email protected]. We deliver across Switzerland and to Liechtenstein in 2-4 working days.
