Moccamaster KBG Select – the full carafe or the half, always full flavour
In the morning the whole carafe for the family, in the afternoon just a couple of cups for you: the Moccamaster KBG Select in the Swiss Version adjusts to both with a single turn. Six minutes for a full carafe, a warm aroma filling the kitchen – and a flavour that stays just as round whether you brew a full or a half carafe.
Here too, the heart of it is the copper heating element, which keeps the brew temperature between 92 and 96 °C – the window in which coffee turns neither sharp nor harsh, but balanced and aromatic. The Select dial is what sets it apart: in half-carafe mode, the machine slows the flow time so the water has enough contact with the coffee and even small amounts unfold their full flavour. The hot plate then holds the carafe at 80–85 °C. How strong and how fine you brew is up to you – what counts is that it tastes good to you. That's our view, one of many.
