What makes this cup special
The distribution tool inside – removable and rotating – breaks up clumps in the grounds when you shake and reduces static charge. That lets the coffee fall more evenly into the portafilter, which can help reduce channeling. With the lid closed the cup becomes a shaker, without the lid it sits over the portafilter as a funnel, and the magnet holds it in position.
It's made from anodised aluminium with a neodymium magnet, available for 51, 54 and 58 mm portafilters, about 76 mm tall. The parts come apart for cleaning. Whether you work with a shaker, a funnel or a separate WDT tool comes down to taste, and that's just our view, one of many.
