Rocket Faustino bean hopper, complete – so your bean supply sits clean and tight above the grinding mechanism again
The bean hopper is the part of the Faustino you handle most often: lift it off, fill it, put it back on, every single morning. That is exactly why it is also the part where years of use tend to show first.
As long as it sits firmly, you don't notice it. Once it wobbles, the closure sticks or fine bean dust trickles out at the joint, a simple movement turns into fiddling – and the beans are more exposed than they should be.
When it's time
The hopper is due when it no longer sits firmly on the grinder, when fine cracks appear in the material, when the closure no longer shuts cleanly or when bean dust escapes at the transition to the grinding mechanism.
Two things are worth checking first: if the hopper just sits loosely, the rubber ring underneath may be the cause – we stock it separately for the Faustino. And a hopper that has turned dull and greasy inside often only needs a wash, not a replacement.

Who it's for
For anyone with a Faustino whose hopper has developed play over the years, shows cracks or whose closure has worn out. The swap needs no tools: old hopper off, new one on.
And for anyone who wants a second hopper at hand to switch between two coffees without decanting every time.
We can't give a part number for this item: our records list it without a number, and we don't make one up. If you have a number from a service document in front of you, send it to us – then we'll compare instead of guessing.
Bean hoppers and their parts in our catalogue
We stock fourteen items around the bean hopper, split into four groups. If you're not sure which version sits on your grinder, take the hopper off and send us the model and serial number – we'll compare instead of guessing.
Complete bean hoppers from Rocket, three items: Bean hopper, complete, for the Rocket Faustino at CHF 69.30 – that is, this product; Bean hopper, complete, for the Rocket Fausto at CHF 89.75; Bean hopper, complete, for the Rocket Faustino V2 at CHF 74.65.
Complete bean hoppers from La Marzocco, four items: Bean hopper, complete, for the La Marzocco Pico at CHF 111.54; Bean hopper, complete, for the La Marzocco Swift Mini at CHF 240.68; Bean hopper, complete, for the La Marzocco Jay, part number 1074 at CHF 205.92; Bean slide gate kit with bean hopper from La Marzocco, part number C.1.513.R at CHF 115.39.
Bean hopper lids, four items: Bean hopper lid for the Rocket Faustino V2 at CHF 21.55; Bean hopper lid for the La Marzocco Pico at CHF 23.21; Bean hopper lid for the La Marzocco Jay, part number C.2.091.R at CHF 33.66; Two-piece bean hopper lid from La Marzocco, part number F.1.177 at CHF 38.39.
Slide gates and sealing rings on the hopper, three items: Bean hopper slide gate for the Rocket Faustino V2 at CHF 4.95; Bean hopper rubber ring for the Rocket Faustino, part number R8G4996889 at CHF 11.00; Bean hopper rubber sealing ring for the Rocket Fausto, part number R8G4995938 at CHF 8.80.
Not part of this range, but on the same path the bean takes: the coffee chute of the La Marzocco Jay, through which the ground coffee leaves after the grinding mechanism, and the 0.2 mm flap for the Jay. Both sit below the grinding mechanism and have nothing to do with the bean supply.
What goes with it
Also part of the Faustino are the burrs and the bean hopper rubber ring, which seals the hopper against the housing.
All grinder parts from both brands are listed in Rocket Faustino and Fausto spare parts and in Coffee grinder accessories and spare parts; the full range is in our service parts.
With the hopper already off, it's the moment for the rest: grinder cleaning, which for us usually means Puly Grind.
The workshop tip from Bern and Zurich
In Bern and Zurich, a hopper change is our cue to run the grinder completely empty: hopper off, remaining beans out, let the grinding mechanism run until nothing more comes out, and only then put the new hopper on and fill it fresh. That way the old batch doesn't end up underneath the new one. This is our workshop routine, not a manufacturer requirement – we do it because the first cup afterwards tastes noticeably clearer. For the supply on top, in the workshop we reach for Nutty Delight and Cozy Chocolate, and for maximum body without acidity for Very Nutty; the whole selection is in our Coffee beans.
Returns excluded
Service parts are excluded from exchange and return. They are sourced specifically for each order and cannot be resold once they have been fitted or test-fitted on a machine. So before ordering, check the model, year of manufacture and serial number of your machine – or drop us a quick message and we'll clarify the fit together. Your rights in the case of defective goods remain unaffected.
Frequently asked questions
