Push the slide gate to the side, and the bean outlet is closed. Only then can you take the hopper off the Faustino V2 without beans finding their way into the grinding mechanism and across the worktop.
If you often switch between two beans or wipe out the grinder regularly, you reach for this small part every day. If it sticks or no longer closes completely, a simple move turns into a mess.
The slide gate is due when it sticks, only moves with force, no longer closes completely or has been lost.
If it just sticks, it's worth trying this first: remove the hopper and wipe the slide gate and its guide dry. Fine bean dust in the guide feels like a defective part, but it isn't one.

Especially for anyone who works with several beans and therefore removes the hopper often.
We can't give a part number for this part: our documentation lists the item without a number, and we don't make one up. If you have a number from service documentation in front of you, send it to us – then we'll cross-check instead of guessing.
We carry fourteen items around the bean hopper, split into four groups. If you're not sure which version is fitted to your grinder, take the hopper off and send us the model and serial number – we'll cross-check instead of guessing.
Complete bean hoppers from Rocket, three items: Complete bean hopper for the Rocket Faustino at CHF 69.30; Complete bean hopper for the Rocket Fausto at CHF 89.75; Complete bean hopper for the Rocket Faustino V2 at CHF 74.65.

Not in this series, but along the same path of the bean: the coffee chute of the La Marzocco Jay, through which the ground coffee exits after the grinding mechanism, and the 0.2 mm flap for the Jay. Both sit below the grinding mechanism and have nothing to do with the bean supply.
The matching hopper is the complete bean hopper for the Faustino V2, the lid is the bean hopper lid.
Also for the same grinder: the burr set for the Faustino V2.
The related categories are Rocket Faustino and Fausto spare parts, Coffee grinder accessories and spare parts and the Original spare parts. For care: grinder cleaning.
We don't grease the slide gate in the workshop. Grease in the bean path attracts dust and becomes sticky over time; a slide gate that has been wiped dry keeps running smoothly for longer than a greased one. Our routine from Bern and Zurich, not a manufacturer specification. For the supply up top, in the workshop we reach for Nutty Delight and Cozy Chocolate, and, for maximum body without acidity, Very Nutty; you'll find the full selection in our coffee beans.
No returns
Original spare parts are excluded from exchange and return. They are sourced specifically for each order and cannot be resold once they have been installed or test-fitted on a device. So before ordering, check the model, year of manufacture and serial number of your machine – or drop us a quick message and we'll clarify the fit together. Your rights in the case of defective goods remain unaffected.
It closes the bean outlet at the bottom of the hopper. This lets you remove the filled hopper without beans sliding out.
No. The product name specifies the V2, and the first generation has a different hopper.
Not necessarily. Take the hopper off and wipe the slide gate and its guide dry. If it then moves smoothly again, it was bean dust.
We don't know it. Our documentation lists this item without a part number, and we don't write down one we can't verify. Send us the number from your service documentation and we'll confirm the fit.
Our showrooms in Bern (Gerberngasse 44) and Zurich (Hagenholzstrasse 50b) show a wide selection, but not our entire range – the display changes. Drop us a quick line at [email protected] before your visit, and we will check whether the product you have in mind is currently there. We'll check together with you whether the version fits your grinder.
