What Makes This Filter Special
The Pure Brew Filter is a conical filter basket lined with a double layer of fine micro-mesh. These two micro-mesh layers hold back the finest particles and let the water flow gently through the coffee bed – the result is a filter-style cup that is more full-bodied and syrupy than a classic pour-over, yet finer and more subtle than an espresso.
Taste and smell are inseparable here: a large part of what we experience as aroma arises retronasally, as the coffee flows over the tongue into the throat. In such a clear cup, delicate, bright notes come through particularly distinctly. It is our observation that the choice of filter fundamentally changes the aroma profile – that's our view, one of many.
