Weber Workshops BIRD Replacement Gaskets
The BIRD Gasket Kit from Weber Workshops: replacement gaskets for the BIRD brewer. Available in Zurich and online, delivery in 2–4 working days.
On the BIRD, the gasket that creates the vacuum sits on the stainless steel 316 pod. Turning the wingnut makes the drive shaft pull the pod upwards, creating a vacuum beneath it. Weber describes the kit as a replacement for the gaskets on the BIRD. Coffee Coaching Club is the official Swiss importer of Weber Workshops.

Who it is for
For everyone with a BIRD whose gaskets are worn, and for everyone who wants a set in reserve. Weber itself writes that you probably don’t need the kit, but you might want it. More accessories are in the Weber Workshops collection. Delivery across Switzerland and to Liechtenstein in 2–4 working days, Click and Collect in Bern and Zurich.
The BIRD goes with hot water, a scale and a grinder. Kettles are at Varia. For everyone who wants a scale that is affordable and precise: Normcore. If you want an app and flow rate display: Acaia. For everyone who wants a grinder that is affordable and precise: Comandante as a hand grinder or Varia electric. If you want more: the EG-1 from the Weber Workshops collection. The full range is under coffee grinders, and our advice tool helps you narrow it down.
Frequently asked questions
How do I know the gaskets need replacing?
The gasket on the pod creates the vacuum. If you feel noticeably less resistance than usual when pulling up the pod, the gasket is an obvious candidate. Weber itself sees the kit more as a spare.
Does the kit also fit the Roadrunner?
No. Weber explicitly lists the BIRD Gasket Kit as not compatible with the Roadrunner.
What is included in the kit?
Weber lists replacement gaskets for the BIRD without stating quantity or material. We therefore give no further details.
Can I see the part before buying?
Our showrooms in Bern (Gerberngasse 44) and Zurich (Hagenholzstrasse 50b) show a wide selection, but not our entire range – the display changes. We are happy to check in advance by email at [email protected] whether the gaskets are in stock there. Click and Collect is possible in Bern and Zurich.
Tip from the roastery: For the BIRD we recommend Cozy Chocolate and Nutty Delight. Both are dense, round and chocolatey, also as filter coffee. If you want maximum body without acidity, choose Very Nutty. If you want to discover something fruity, you will find it in Wild Peach. That is our recommendation, one of many.
