Ceado E37Z-Hero – all-purpose grinder with variable speed and 83 mm DLC burrs
You turn the speed dial while the grinder is running and feel how the grind changes – slower for delicate connections, faster for more body. This very variable, a first for a Ceado, makes the E37Z-Hero a tool for exploring.
Like the Naked version, the Hero works with 83 mm burrs and a grinding chamber in DLC coating, a 45° incline, bellows attachment and spring-loaded chute – for grinding close to zero retention. The interlocking worm gear allows infinitely fine micro adjustments and can be unlocked for large macro jumps between brewing methods. The control box houses the rest: start and stop, cooling fan and the stepless adjustment of the burr speed.
For filter, you remove the portafilter hook beneath the chute and make room for drippers and other vessels. Included are three tinted single-dose bottles, a spray bottle against static charge, a portafilter funnel and a coffee journal. Espresso is complex, but not rocket science – the Hero invites you to experiment at your leisure. Our opinion is one of many.

Frequently asked questions
What's the point of the variable speed?
You can change the speed of the burrs while grinding. This is an additional variable that lets you fine-tune espresso and other brewing methods more precisely.
How long does delivery take?
The E37Z-Hero is made to order. The delivery time is usually around 2–3 months. Click & Collect in Bern and Zurich Oerlikon is possible once it's completed.
How does it differ from the E37Z-Naked?
Naked and Hero share burrs, coating and the zero-retention concept. The Hero adds the variable burr speed and a control box with start/stop and fan control.
