Hario Coffee Siphon Technika 600 ml – the classic vacuum brewer
It gurgles, the water climbs into the upper chamber, the coffee steeps in the bright brew – and then the calm, clear draw back down: the Technika is the siphon classic that generations have marvelled at while brewing.
The Technika 600 uses heat and vacuum to brew a clear, aromatic cup for several people. We carry Hario at Coffee Coaching Club.
How the siphon works
Heat creates steam pressure in the lower globe, pushing the water upwards, where the coffee steeps. When the heat is removed, the vacuum draws the finished coffee back down through the cloth filter – this gives a cup with the clarity of filter coffee and full body. The Technika is powered by the included spirit burner or the optional infrared heater.
