How the Siphon Works
Heat builds steam pressure in the lower globe, pushing the water upward, where the coffee steeps. Once the heat is removed, the vacuum draws the finished coffee back down through the cloth filter – giving a cup with the clarity of filter coffee and full body. The Technika runs on the included alcohol burner or the optional infrared heater.
