IMS All in One Filter – E&B Lab Innovation for versatile coffee preparation
One filter for all brewing methods – from espresso to filter coffee
The IMS All in One filter basket from the innovative E&B Lab series is a revolutionary precision filter basket that pushes the boundaries of traditional espresso brewing. With this multifunctional basket, you can prepare espresso, filter coffee, café crème, and even tea infusions – all with just one filter basket! Choose between two heights for different doses.
Available variants
Variant 1: H25 (B702TH25/ONE) – Standard for medium doses (14-18 g)
Variant 2: H28 (B702TH28/ONE) – Higher for larger doses (17-21 g)
What makes the All in One sieve so special?
The secret lies in the innovative double-membrane construction :
-
257 round holes in an all-in-one pattern in the outer area
- Photo-engraved inner membrane with 150 micron filter performance
- This combination allows for variable extraction speeds – from classic espresso to slower brewing methods.
Your options with the All in One sieve
Espresso – Classic espresso extraction with precise water flow
Filter coffee (brewing) – Longer extraction for milder coffee
Café Crème – More volume, less intensity
Turkish Espresso – Even the finest grinds are possible
Cascara or tea – 4g cascara or 3g loose leaf tea for approx. 200ml of beverage.
💡 Requirement : An espresso machine with pressure profile control or flow control to adapt the extraction to the respective brewing method.

Which option is right for you?
H25 (25 mm height) – Ideal if you:
- You work with 14-18 g (standard range)
- You want flexibility between standard and bottomless portafilters.
- preferring the classic double espresso range
- You need a slightly more compact sieve height.
H28 (28 mm height) – Perfect if you:
- You work with 17-21 g (higher dosages)
- Use only bottomless portafilters
- Want more coffee mass for a fuller body?
- You need greater flexibility in dosage.
compatibility
H25 : Fits standard and bottomless portafilters
H28 : ⚠️ Only suitable for bottomless portafilters! – Too tall for most standard portafilters
Both versions are compatible with all 58mm E61 brew groups , including: Ascaso, Astoria, Bezzera, Brasilia, ECM, Elektra, Faema, Gaggia, Grimac, La Marzocco, La Pavoni, Nuova Simonelli, Rancilio, Rocket, Sanremo, Slayer, Synesso, VBM Vibiemme, Victoria Arduino, Wega and many more.
Who is the All in One sieve suitable for?

Important instructions
From the community: What you should know
The All in One sieve is a special sieve for enthusiasts . It is reported in forums:
✅ The advantages:
- Incredible versatility – one sieve for many cooking methods
- Innovative technology with double membrane
- Enables experimentation with different extractions
- Especially well suited for light roasts
⚠️ The challenges:
-
Cleaning is challenging : The fine 150-micron membrane can become clogged. Users report that the filter needs thorough cleaning after several uses – ideally by soaking it in coffee oil remover.
-
Not optimized for standard espresso : If you mainly drink classic espresso, the standard competition portafilter baskets are more suitable.
-
Learning curve : You need to experiment with print profiles to achieve the best results.
-
Channeling due to humidity : Some users report channeling when the filter basket is not completely dry.
-
Dishwasher safe : Some users have successfully cleaned the filter in the dishwasher.
Care tips :
- The sieve should dry completely after each use.
- For the delicate membrane, regular soaking in coffee oil remover is recommended.
- Before the next use, ensure that the sieve is completely dry.
