Rocket single-spout portafilter for R9 ONE – complete with basket
The R9 ONE is the single-group model from the professional line – compactly built, but with the same standards as its bigger sisters. The portafilter is the part that does the most work on it and is the most likely to show wear.
This version has one spout and comes with a basket. It carries the part number R699906521 and is assigned to the R9 ONE – not to the R8 or R9, which have their own numbers.
Descale first, then replace
Before you replace a basket, it is worth checking for limescale. A basket with clogged holes behaves like a defective part: the shot runs unevenly, it sprays in one spot and barely drips in another. A backflush with cleaning powder and a descaling often achieve more than a new part. You can find our range for this under Machine and grinder cleaning.
Only if the basket still runs unevenly after cleaning, or the holes are visibly widened, is a replacement due.
When it is due
The portafilter has play in the mount or needs more force than before to lock into place.
Water runs past at the side, even though the group gasket is new.
The handle is loose or cracked, the spout is bent, or the basket no longer sits securely. Even without a defect: a second portafilter takes the pressure off a busy morning.

In addition, there is the bottomless portafilter with double basket, which we carry as a barista accessory and not as an original spare part. Individual baskets are available as a 7 g basket and as a 14 g basket.
For the four portafilters of the Appartamento TCA and the other home machines, our documents give no part number, and for none of the eight the diameter of the basket. If you are not sure which model series you have: send us the serial number and we will identify it.

This portafilter does not fit Rocket home machines; for those, the portafilters of the respective home series apply.

From our workshop
In Bern and Zürich we keep one more portafilter ready per machine than the machine has groups. The spare portafilter spends the night in the cleaning bath, the other stays in use. That way there is never a freshly rinsed, cold portafilter in the group in the morning that throws off the first two shots. This is our routine, not a requirement of the manufacturer.
To break in a new portafilter, we like to use something forgiving: Nutty Delight forgives the first uneven shots, while Cozy Chocolate clearly shows whether the extraction is right. The full range is under Coffee beans.
No returns
Original spare parts are excluded from exchange and return. They are procured on a per-order basis and cannot be resold after installation or a trial fitting on the machine. So before ordering, please check the model, year of manufacture and serial number of your machine – or drop us a line and we will clarify the fit together. This does not affect your rights in the case of defective goods.

Does the portafilter also fit an R9 without ONE?
No. The R9 ONE has its own portafilter numbers, here R699906521. For the R8 and R9 we carry M699905526 and M699905527.
What size is the basket?
The basket is included in the scope of delivery. The documents for this number do not give a gram size, so we do not claim one.
Why do the single-spout and double-spout versions cost the same?
That is how it is listed in the manufacturer's price list. Both versions of the R9 ONE are priced the same, even though they have different numbers.
Is this an electrical part?
No. The portafilter is purely mechanical and has no electrical function whatsoever.
Can I see the part in your showroom?
Yes. We are in Bern at Gerberngasse 44 and in Zürich at Hagenholzstrasse 50b. Bring the serial number of your machine and we will check the fit together at the counter.
