The base is the electrical unit of the NanoFoamer PRO: the jug stands on it, and it supplies the power. Subminimal offers it as a spare part with power cord and EU plug.
What the base does day to day
With the NanoFoamer PRO, heating and frothing happen in one go, with no steam wand at all. As soon as the milk is warm enough, the display shows “OK”, after which the device keeps heating up to the final temperature. If you prefer it less hot, tap the button or lift the jug off the base as soon as “OK” appears.
At the counter, we find that warm milk tastes rounder and sweeter than very hot milk. That is why it is worth playing with the moment you lift the jug off, until your cup tastes exactly the way you like it.
Subminimal specifies that the NanoFoamer PRO must only be used with the base intended for it, connected to a grounded outlet whose voltage matches the rating plate. The base is never immersed in water, and the underside of the jug should be dry before you put it on.
