The Magnetic NanoScreen is the screen of the NanoFoamer PRO that shapes the microfoam. Subminimal offers it as a single spare part.
How air turns into microfoam
In the NanoFoamer PRO, the NanoScreen and impeller work with an arrangement of opposing magnets. According to Subminimal, they bring the impeller up to 8000 revolutions per minute without contact. The 304 stainless steel mesh breaks the air in the vortex into the finest bubbles, and the milk proteins wrap around them and keep them stable. The result is a glossy, pourable texture that feels velvety on the tongue.
The Flow Controllers in the jug tune the vortex to the milk: black for cow's milk, blue and green for plant-based drinks. Together with the program and the cup size, this is how you find your combination.
No foam is like the one from the day before, because milk, temperature and mood change. That is not a limitation, that is the beauty of it. Our opinion is one of many.

Does the Magnetic NanoScreen fit every NanoFoamer?
No, it is made for the NanoFoamer PRO – according to Subminimal's spare parts list, for Gen-1 and Gen-2. For the NanoFoamer V2 and Lithium there is the NanoScreen Kit, for the NanoFoamer GO the GO NanoScreen Kit.
How do I change the NanoScreen?
Turn the old one clockwise until it comes off with a click. Place the new one on the impeller and gently turn it counterclockwise until it noticeably clicks into place.
Why is the NanoScreen so tight the first time?
According to Subminimal, that is normal and it loosens over time. It is easiest to grip with dry hands, because the plastic becomes slippery when wet.
How do I clean the Magnetic NanoScreen?
Rinse it right after every use so that no milk dries on. For a thorough clean, take it off and rinse it separately. According to the user manual, it does not belong in the dishwasher.
Can I see the product before buying?
In our showrooms in Bern (Gerberngasse 44) and Zurich (Hagenholzstrasse 50b) we show a large selection, but not the entire range – the display changes. It is best to check with us shortly beforehand whether the part is currently there.
