CHEMEX Woodneck 10 Cup – pour-over carafe for up to 10 cups
The wooden collar feels warm in your hand, the water draws through the grounds in slow circles, and below, the large carafe fills with a clear cup for the whole table. Brewer and server are one piece.
The manufacturer calls this model the Ten Cup Classic CHEMEX, CM-10A. The carafe is made of borosilicate glass, and the polished wooden collar with leather tie serves as a handle. Chemex counts 5 oz per cup, which makes 50 oz for ten of those cups.
The thick Chemex Bonded Filter holds back oils and fine particles, which is why the cup tastes clear and light. Brew by weight, not by time: a ratio of around 1:16 is a good starting point, after that your taste decides. Our opinion is one of many.

Who it's made for
For everyone who brews filter coffee for several people at once, at the weekend, in the office or for guests. If you usually brew for one or two, you will find smaller carafes at Chemex. More brewers are in the filter collection.
For the grinder: grind by hand with Comandante and Timemore from the hand grinders, or electrically with the VS3 from Varia. If you want more, you will find further models among the coffee grinders. For the scale: affordable and precise with Normcore, with app and flow-rate display with Acaia.
Putting your whole setup together from scratch? Our advice tool helps you narrow it down. You can buy the Chemex online with delivery across Switzerland and to Liechtenstein in 2–4 business days; Click & Collect is available in Bern and Zürich.

Tip from the roastery: A full carafe often sits on the table for a while, so we like beans that stay round even as they cool a little. For a dense, chocolatey cup we roast Cozy Chocolate and Nutty Delight, and for maximum body without acidity Very Nutty. If you would like to discover something fruity in your filter, you will find it in Wild Peach. This is our recommendation, one of many.
