CKDC ProCub 2 Black/Walnut – Knock Drawer to Sit Under Your Grinder
The CKDC ProCub 2 is a knock drawer your grinder stands on: 140 × 240 mm top surface, 55 mm high, made of stainless steel, built in Ireland.
It is made by The Knock Drawer Co. in Ireland. The housing carries the full weight of the grinder, with the drawer and knock bar underneath. This version is matt black with a walnut handle. Available with delivery across Switzerland or via Click & Collect in Bern and Zurich.
Features of the ProCub 2
Housing in 1.2 mm stainless steel
The housing is handmade from 1.2 mm thick 304 stainless steel. It does not bend under the weight of the grinder and gives every grinder foot a wide, flat surface to rest on. The manufacturer states a load capacity of 25 kg.
Triangular knock bar with rubber
The reinforced knock bar, covered in EPDM rubber, dampens every knock to a dull thud. The manufacturer expects around 250,000 knocks before it needs replacing.
Quiet slide, steady stance
The drawer runs on nylon rails, so there is no steel rubbing on steel. Recessed rubber feet keep the ProCub in place on the counter.
Slots in the lid
Steam escapes through the slots in the lid while the pucks cool down. This means less moisture collects in the drawer, which can lead to mould.
The details in everyday use
Whether your grinder fits depends on its feet, not its housing. Measure from the outer edge of the left foot to the outer edge of the right foot, and from the front edge of the front feet to the back edge of the rear feet. Both measurements must fall within the 140 × 240 mm top surface. Including the handle, the ProCub 2 is 290 mm deep overall.
The manufacturer also offers the ProCub with a 200 × 300 mm top surface. You will find more knock drawers in our Knock Boxes and Drawers collection.

Roastery tip: For the espresso whose puck ends up here, we recommend Cozy Chocolate and Nutty Delight – full-bodied, round, with notes of chocolate and nuts. For maximum body without acidity: Very Nutty. If you want to discover something fruity, reach for Wild Peach. Other beans work just as well. That is our recommendation, one of many.
