Hario Slow Cold Brewer Shizuku – Cold Drip in clear Japanese Design

The cold water calmly drips onto the coffee, runs through the stainless steel filter, and collects in the glass carafe – a quiet process that results in a clear, sweet concentrate.

The Shizuku is Hario's compact, uncomplicated cold-drip brewer: high-quality glass carafe, sturdy stainless steel filter, clear Japanese design. We carry Hario at Coffee Coaching Club.

Cold Drip, Compact

As with the large tower, cold water slowly drips through the coffee bed – without heat, hardly any bitter oils dissolve, leaving a soft, sweetish concentrate with low acidity. The Shizuku, with approximately 600 ml, is designed for one to two people and is easier to set up and store than a tall brewing tower. 50 paper filters are included.

Who it's for

For all who love cold drip but want to start compactly and uncomplicatedly – without the large glass tower. If you're looking for more volume and an adjustable drip tap, check out the Water Dripper Clear; even more compact is the Water Dripper Drop.

What goes with it

For cold drip, you grind rather coarsely – a grinder from the hand grinders or the electric coffee grinders. Accessories and filters in the Hario collection. Chocolatey-nutty beans like Cozy Chocolate and Nutty Delight, or fruity Wild Peach.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which grind size is suitable?

A rather coarse grind, similar to French Press, so that the water flows through evenly.

Roastery Tip

In cold concentrate, sweet, round beans particularly shine – the chocolate and nut notes of Cozy Chocolate or Nutty Delight. It becomes lively and fruity with Wild Peach. This is our recommendation, one of many.
