The filters are cone-shaped and fit Hario V60 drippers in size 02. Hario rates them for 1 to 4 cups. The paper holds back coffee oils and the finest particles, which is why coffee from the V60 tastes clear and clean in the cup.
How strong you brew is up to you. For filter coffee we usually start with around 60 g of coffee per litre of water and go by weight, not by the clock. Our opinion is one of many.

Should I rinse the V60 paper filter before brewing?
That is up to you. Many people rinse the filter briefly with hot water; it removes the paper taste and preheats dripper and jug.
