Hario V60 Switch & Match Ceramic Dripper 02
The V60 Switch & Match Ceramic Dripper feels as Japanese ceramic should: calm, solid, with a weight that suggests it's well-made. It's the top part of the Switch & Match system – and works instantly, even without a Switch Base, as a classic V60 Pour-Over.
Ceramics from Japan – and what that means
Hario produces these ceramic drippers in Japan. The material is densely fired, heat-retaining, and neutral in taste – ceramic neither releases nor absorbs anything. Those who switch from plastic or glass to ceramic often notice: the coffee tastes different. Not because the physics are different, but because the dripper maintains temperature better, resulting in a more even extraction.
Two modes – one device
The Ceramic Dripper 02 comes with a detachable black plastic base. In this combination, it functions like a classic V60 – water flows directly through. If you want the lever switch, swap the black base for the Switch Base in your desired color. Matte Navy on top, Navy Switch Base on the bottom: harmonious, functional, personal.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between ceramic, glass, and plastic in the V60?
Ceramic retains heat best – the dripper cools down slower, and the extraction temperature remains more stable. Glass is lighter, neutral, and allows a view of the flow. Plastic is shatterproof and inexpensive. For daily home use and consistent extraction: ceramic is the most stable choice.
Can I use the ceramic dripper without a Switch Base?
Yes – it comes with a detachable black plastic base and works immediately as a classic V60 Pour-Over. The Switch Base is optional for the immersion principle.
Which filter papers fit?
Hario V60 Filter Paper Size 02 – white or brown. For less paper taste: rinse the filter paper briefly before adding the coffee.
How many cups does the Dripper 02 brew?
The Dripper 02 has a finished capacity of 200ml – enough for one large or two small cups of filtered coffee.
