IMS's latest innovation boasts a thoughtfully designed portafilter basket. The hole pattern is designed to direct the espresso flow towards the center, with a particular focus on concentrating the holes in this area and placing them closer together. This pattern was specifically developed for use with bottomless portafilters. The basket has a flat base and is available in four different heights, allowing for customized capacity adjustments depending on the type of coffee being used. Compatible with 58–58.5 mm tampers, the basket offers a rimless diameter of 70 mm.

The extraction process is exceptionally uniform, resulting in increased sweetness and a reduction in acidity.

Light roasts require some experimentation; if you opt for such a sieve, you're by definition adventurous :)
