Your nose close to the coffee, the rim wide open, the colour bold: the Loveramics Boram Um Tasting Cup holds 200 ml and is made of porcelain. Available in four colours, to see live in Bern and Zurich.
The cup was designed by Boram Um, World Barista Champion 2023 from Brazil. His family runs a coffee farm in the state of Minas Gerais. According to Loveramics, the wide opening, together with the shape, is meant to bring the sweetness in the coffee to the foreground.
The background: a large part of what we perceive as taste is smell. Aroma compounds rise through the throat to the olfactory mucosa as you drink. A wide opening lets more aroma reach the nose. The colour and material of the vessel also measurably influence how we perceive coffee. How strongly you notice this is for you to decide – our opinion is one of many.

Who it is made for
For everyone who drinks coffee with or without milk from a cup with a wide rim and likes colour on the table. 200 ml is enough for a cappuccino or a cup of filter coffee.

Tip from the roastery: For milk drinks from 200 ml we roast Cozy Chocolate and Nutty Delight: full-bodied, round, with notes of chocolate and nut.
