The right knob for the Essential – not the one for the standard Leo
Macap lists its own grind adjustment knob for the Leo 55 Essential. It looks similar to the knob on the standard version but carries a different number – and that is exactly why we offer the two separately instead of selling one as «fits all».
It is due when the adjustment no longer engages cleanly: the knob spins freely, the click stops are gone, or the markings are so worn that you no longer read the set value but guess it.
When it is due
Replace the knob if it slips on the shaft, if the grind setting can no longer be reproduced, if the markings are illegible or if the plastic shows cracks.

What goes with it

From our workshop in Bern and Zurich
Before we replace a knob, we check the shaft underneath: if it is worn round, the new knob will not hold for long either. That takes two minutes and saves a second order – our routine, not a manufacturer requirement. Cleaning is done dry with Puly Grind Verde; further products are listed under Machine and grinder cleaning. We then dial in with a Nutty Delight, sometimes with the Cozy Chocolate or the Very Nutty. No returns
Original spare parts are excluded from exchange and return. They are sourced specifically for each order and cannot be resold after installation or a test fit on the machine. So before ordering, check the model, year of manufacture and serial number of your machine – or drop us a line and we will clarify the fit together. Your rights in the case of defective goods remain unaffected.

How does it differ from the knob on the standard Leo 55?
Macap lists two separate numbers: C00010601 for the Leo 55 and C00010602 for the Essential. Our documentation does not say what the structural difference is – we go by the number and do not guess.
Why is there no picture?
We do not have a product image for this item. We would rather show no picture than someone else's that shows something different.
How do I know whether I have an Essential?
From the grinder's rating plate. If in doubt, send us a photo of it and we will tell you which number you need.
