What makes this basket special
The DEX – Deep Extraction – uses 872 precisely drilled holes arranged in a rectangular pattern. The holes are stepped: this spreads the water evenly across the entire surface and supports a consistent, deep extraction. Made from AISI 304 stainless steel with straight walls and a flat base, which helps with even tamping and gives the puck support.
The smaller 15 g dose creates a shallower coffee bed and works well for concentrated single shots or lighter cups. We like to work by weight ratio (1:2) and let the scale decide, not the stopwatch. It's our observation that basket choice fundamentally changes the aroma profile – that's our view, one of many.
