MHW-3BOMBER Vacuum Canister 750 ml – store coffee beans with less air and keep them fresh

Beans in, lid on, then press the button in the middle a few times with your thumb: with every press, the small pump in the lid draws a little air out of the canister. The vacuum canister from MHW-3BOMBER holds 750 ml and protects coffee beans, ground coffee or tea from oxygen and moisture.

The pump is built into the lid, so you don’t need a separate tool. Pressing it several times creates a vacuum inside the canister, and a silicone seal keeps the lid airtight. To open it, first press the release button until the vacuum is released, then lift off the lid. The canister is made of stainless steel (SUS304), polypropylene and silicone.

Opening and care

Only open the lid once you have released the vacuum with the release button. In our experience, canisters with a pump in the lid are best cleaned by hand: wipe or rinse out the canister, only wipe the lid with a damp cloth, and let everything dry completely before you add beans again.

Vacuum or ceramic?

In our shop you’ll also find the Airscape Ceramic Coffee Canister made of ceramic. The MHW-3BOMBER canister works with a pump in the lid instead, which you use to actively draw air out. Which solution suits your kitchen better is a matter of taste. Our opinion is one of many.

Who it’s made for

For everyone who wants to keep their current coffee within reach next to the grinder without resealing the bag every time. For households with two coffees open at once, for example one for espresso and one for filter. And for anyone who also wants to store tea or other dry goods with less air.

Tip from our café: In our experience, it is best to put only as many beans into the canister as you will use in the next one to two weeks and keep the rest well sealed in the original packaging. That way you only open the canister for your daily dose. For everyday espresso we like Nutty Delight, our nutty blend from Brazil and India, and Chestnut Delight with depth and warmth. For filter coffee we like the light-roasted omniroast Wild Peach with its peach note. You’ll find all our coffees under Coffee beans. That’s our recommendation, one of many.

What goes with it

You’ll find more canisters and containers under Bean containers and storage canisters, and more from the brand under MHW-3BOMBER.

As a ceramic alternative: Airscape Ceramic Coffee Canister 500 g. And to fill the canister: freshly roasted coffee beans from our roastery.

Frequently asked questions

How does the vacuum canister work?

There is a small pump in the lid. When you press the button several times, air is drawn out of the canister and a vacuum forms. A silicone seal keeps the lid airtight.

How do I open the canister again?

First press the release button until the vacuum is released. Only then lift off the lid.

How big is the canister?

It holds 750 ml, has a diameter of 140 mm and is 90 mm high. Empty, it weighs around 320 g.

How many coffee beans fit inside?

The canister holds 750 ml. How many grams of beans that is depends on the roast level and bean size, because darker roasted beans are lighter and take up more space.

How quickly will my order arrive?

Delivery takes 2–4 working days, throughout Switzerland and to Liechtenstein. Click and Collect is available in Bern and Zurich.

Can I see the canister before buying?

In our showrooms in Bern (Gerberngasse 44) and Zurich Oerlikon (Hagenholzstrasse 50b) we are happy to show you our barista accessories. Just check with us beforehand whether the canister is currently there.
