Moccamaster Cup One – freshly brewed filter coffee straight into the cup
Water flows evenly over the coffee grounds, the smell of fresh brew fills the air, and after about four minutes a full cup stands in front of you – no carafe, no detour. The Moccamaster Cup One in the Swiss Version brings exactly that to the point: a single, properly good cup of filter coffee, brewed by a machine that has been hand-made in the Netherlands since 1968.
The secret lies in the brewing temperature. Moccamaster's copper heating element keeps the water between 92 and 96 °C – the range in which the aromatic compounds dissolve in a round, balanced way. Brewed too cold, coffee quickly turns sharp; too hot, rather harsh; the Cup One hits that window from the first drop to the last. The used grounds in the filter then simply go onto the compost, with no plastic or aluminum waste at all. Which bean and which grind size you choose is up to you – what counts is that it tastes good to you. That's our view, one of many.
