A replacement walnut knob for the brew lever or steam valve of E61 machines with M8 thread.
The knob replaces the stock grip on the brew lever or steam valve of your E61 machine. As a wood, walnut is hard enough for daily use, feels warm in the hand, and develops its own patina over time. Especially on machines with Flow Control, a knob with good haptics gives more tactile feedback: the finer you regulate the flow, the more deliberately you guide the movement. That's just our view, one of many.
The internal thread is M8 and sits 32 mm deep for a solid hold. The knob measures 53 mm in length and 27 mm in diameter and is ergonomically rounded. Important before buying: check whether your lever has an M8 thread – not all E61 machines use the same standard, some use M10 or M12.

For anyone with an E61 machine who wants to give the brew lever or steam valve a warmer wooden knob – provided the thread is M8. Every coffee path is welcome here.
The knob fits many E61 machines from our collections of ECM, Profitec and Rocket – check the thread first. More tools in the same minimalist style are in the Normcore Collection.
For gram-precise dosing, there are also scales at Normcore or with an app in the Acaia Collection; grinders in the Coffee Grinders Collection.
Measure the diameter of the threaded stud on your existing knob: M8 corresponds to 8 mm. Most E61 brew levers use M8, but not all.
Yes, as long as the valve has an M8 thread. Many E61 machines use the same thread for the brew lever and steam valve – check both anyway.
As a wood, walnut is hard, dense, and naturally moisture-resistant, and it develops a patina over time. Don't put it in the dishwasher – hand washing with a damp cloth is enough.
On E61 machines with M8 thread, such as many models from ECM, Profitec, Rocket, Bezzera, Lelit and Quickmill. If in doubt, check the thread or write to us at office@coffeecoachingclub.ch.
Nice haptics round out the ritual, the bean makes the taste. For a dense, sweet espresso, we like to reach for Cozy Chocolate and Nutty Delight. If you like it full and round without any acidity, stick with Very Nutty; for a fruity experience, Wild Peach goes into the grinder. That's our recommendation, one of many, and whichever bean tastes good to you is the right one.
