Rocket steam nozzle 2-hole 1.5 mm – when you want the steam to come quickly again
Two holes of 1.5 mm each: this is the version that pushes hard while still being forgiving enough to get a cappuccino jug swirling cleanly. Exactly this balance is lost when the nozzle clogs up: the steam hisses out wide instead of directed, the milk starts to splash, and the whirlpool keeps breaking off.
Most of the time it's limescale, not a defect. That's why the important note comes first – and only then the replacement.
Descale first, then replace
A steam nozzle is a part you can almost always save. Soak it overnight in a descaling solution, rinse it clean and blow it through – in nine out of ten cases it flows like on the first day again. You'll find suitable products in our cleaning range for machine and grinder, such as the descaler for E61 and BZ groups. For baked-on milk residue, Puly Milk Plus Liquido helps. Only replace the nozzle if the thread is damaged, a hole is torn out or the bore has widened.

Who it's for
For anyone who froths larger amounts of milk and needs speed – two holes deliver more steam in a short time than a single-hole nozzle. If you mainly make single Flat Whites and prefer to work slowly and in control, you'll have an easier time with a finer nozzle.
What goes with it
A separate sealing ring sits at the transition to the wand: the Rocket O-ring for the water nozzle. Also part of the routine: Puly Caff Plus cleaning powder for the brew group and the descaling pad for the water tank. Everything else under Rocket accessories and spare parts.
Tip from our café
We briefly rinse the wand after every jug and wipe it immediately – while the milk is still liquid. Once something is baked on, it sits in the bores and only comes off chemically. This is our bar routine from Bern and Zurich, not a manufacturer specification. For dialling in afterwards we use Nutty Delight, Cozy Chocolate for chocolatey notes and Very Nutty for maximum body. All roasts under Coffee beans.
Returns excluded
Original spare parts are excluded from exchange and return. They are procured specifically for each order and cannot be resold after installation or a test fitting on the machine. So before ordering, check the model, year of manufacture and serial number of your machine – or drop us a quick message and we'll clarify the fit together. Your rights in the case of defective goods remain unaffected.
Frequently asked questions
Do I even need to replace the nozzle?
Often not. A night in descaler usually clears a scaled-up nozzle again. A replacement is needed if the thread is damaged or the bores have widened.
What is the difference from the 1-hole nozzle?
Two holes deliver more steam and therefore speed. A nozzle with fewer or smaller holes runs slower and is more forgiving – pleasant for small amounts.
Does it fit my R58 or Cinquantotto?
This nozzle is listed for Appartamento and Evoluzione. For R58 and R60 we carry separate nozzles. Write to us and tell us which model you use.
Do I need tools?
A suitable spanner is enough. Work on the cold machine and only tighten the nozzle hand-tight plus an eighth of a turn – more damages the seat.
Can I see the part in the showroom?
Our showrooms in Bern (Gerberngasse 44) and Zurich (Hagenholzstrasse 50b) show a wide selection, but not our entire range – the display changes. Drop us a quick line at [email protected] before your visit, and we will check whether the product you have in mind is currently there.
