Timemore Air Blower – silicone bellows for cleaning coffee grinders
One squeeze of the hand, a strong puff of air, and the last particles come loose from the burrs before the next bean drops in.
The Timemore Air Blower is a bellows made of non-slip silicone with a nozzle that rotates and bends, made for coffee grinders and all the corners a brush can hardly reach.
Why a puff of air is enough
In every grinder, a few particles stay behind after grinding – in the chute, on the burrs, in the gaps of a hand grinder. Ground coffee releases its volatile aroma compounds into the air quickly, and whatever is left over from the day before already smells different from fresh coffee. A puff of air loosens this residue dry, without water and without you having to take anything apart.
The Air Blower works with a one-way airflow design: it blows out forcefully without drawing coffee grounds into the bellows. The nozzle, around 4.8 cm long, rotates and bends, so it reaches into nooks and crannies too. The grooves on the surface give it grip in your hand and keep it from rolling away; the flat base lets it stand upright.
A small thing that takes only seconds and is still part of the ritual. No espresso police: a grinder that isn't blown out every day still makes good coffee. If you like to keep your grinder clean, the Air Blower is a tool that finds a place in any coffee corner. Our opinion is one of many.

Who it's made for
For everyone with a coffee grinder, whether hand or electric, single dosing or with a bean hopper. It's small, fits in any drawer and is as much a part of your kit as the grinder itself. We're a partner of Timemore, and you'll find the brand's hand grinders and more in our Timemore Collection.
What goes with it
For anyone who wants a grinder that is affordable and precise: the Comandante C40 or a Timemore hand grinder and, for electric, the Varia VS3. If you want more: the Varia VS6, Weber Workshops EG-1 or Option-O Lagom. You'll find them all among our coffee grinders – and burrs are like engines in cars: it's subjective, there is no single best.
For a more thorough clean now and then, you'll find grinder cleaners in the collection Machine and grinder cleaning. And to get the dose right: Normcore for the compact, precise route, Acaia if you'd like an app, flow-rate display and Bluetooth – you'll find both among our coffee scales.
Frequently asked questions about the Timemore Air Blower
What is the Air Blower for?
For loosening coffee residue from coffee grinders with a puff of air, especially from corners and gaps a brush can hardly reach.
Does the bellows draw in coffee grounds?
No. A one-way airflow design ensures it blows out forcefully without drawing coffee grounds into the bellows.
Does it replace a brush or grinder cleaner?
They complement each other. The Air Blower clears loose residue dry, with air; a brush sweeps off whatever clings on; and every now and then a grinder cleaner takes care of the coffee oils that settle on the burrs.
What is it made of, and how big is it?
Non-slip silicone. It is around 14 cm long, and the nozzle, which rotates and bends, measures around 4.8 cm.
Can I see the product before buying?
Yes, we're happy to show you the Air Blower in our showrooms in Bern (Gerberngasse 44) and Zurich (Hagenholzstrasse 50b); it's best to check with us shortly beforehand whether it's in store at the moment.
Roastery Tip
A clean grinder brings the freshness of the bean into the cup, unaltered. For dense, sweet espresso we like to reach for Cozy Chocolate and Nutty Delight – chocolate, caramel and nuts with plenty of body. If you like it full and round without any acidity, stay with Very Nutty; for a fruity experience, Wild Peach goes into the grinder. Any bean you enjoy is the right one. That is our recommendation, one of many.
