Varia FLO Slow Filter Papers 50GSM – for a richer cup
The water takes its time as you pour it. The denser 50 GSM fiber holds it longer in the filter bed, contact time increases – and what lands in the cup is more body, more sweetness, more depth. That's what the Slow paper is made for.
Coffee Coaching Club is the exclusive Swiss importer of Varia.
What makes the Slow papers special
The Slow papers are made from FSC-certified Japanese pulp, are neutral in taste and smell, and add nothing of their own to the coffee. At 50 GSM, they're denser: the water flows through more slowly, contact time is longer, and the cup becomes fuller and rounder. The wave-shaped design ensures an even water flow and stable temperature in the filter bed. They fit the Varia FLO Dripper and other flat-bottom drippers. One pack contains 100 filters.

Slow or Fast?
The Slow paper (50 GSM) slows down the flow-through and brings more body and sweetness into the cup. If you prefer it lighter and clearer, reach for the thinner Fast paper (21 GSM). With the FLO system, you can try both and compare.
What goes with it
The papers belong to the Varia FLO Dripper and go well with the FLO Glass Server from the same collection. For dosing, a scale from Normcore or Acaia, plus a grinder from the coffee grinders collection and beans from our coffee roastery.

Frequently Asked Questions
What's the difference between Slow and Fast?
The Slow paper is denser at 50 GSM and lets the water through more slowly, which results in more body and sweetness. The Fast paper at 21 GSM speeds up the flow-through for a lighter, clearer cup.
Which size do I need?
That depends on your dripper. For the FLO Dripper and common flat-bottom drippers, the papers come in 55 × 48 mm and 85 × 48 mm.
Do the papers only fit the FLO Dripper?
No. They also fit other flat-bottom drippers, such as Kalita-Wave style.
How many filters are in one pack?
100 filters per pack.
Roastery Tip
The Slow paper pairs well with medium and darker roasts when you want to emphasize body and sweetness. A quick rinse before brewing removes any paper taste and warms up the dripper. Our Cozy Chocolate comes through rich and chocolatey in the cup this way. That's our recommendation, one of many.
