Varia VS3 Hopper Bearing – Precision Ball Bearing for the Hopper

What the hopper bearing does
This is a double-row ball bearing of precision class P5. It reduces friction in the grind adjustment, enables adjustments to an accuracy of around 10 microns according to the manufacturer, and keeps the burr alignment stable. This results in a smooth, low-vibration grind – for both espresso and filter coffee. The bearing is also resistant to coffee oils and residue, rated for several thousand grinding cycles, and easily accessible for cleaning and maintenance.
