Flair Espresso O-Ring Sets – Replacement Seals for All Flair Models

A slight drip at the brew head. A plunger that no longer glides quite as smoothly as it used to. The pressure gauge needle twitching nervously. These are the moments when your Flair is telling you: an O-Ring needs attention. No drama, no repair – just a few minutes of care that give your daily ritual its calm back.

Coffee Coaching Club is the exclusive Swiss importer of Flair Espresso and carries the original Flair O-Ring sets for every model in the family. Choose your model, and we deliver the matching set – Switzerland-wide and to Liechtenstein in 2 to 4 business days.

What these O-rings do

O-rings are the most unassuming parts of your Flair and, at the same time, the most important. They hold the pressure where it belongs. They stop water from escaping where it shouldn't. They make sure the plunger glides smoothly and that the pressure gauge measures what's actually happening inside the brew cylinder.

Over time, the silicone hardens. Heat, pressure changes, and occasional cleaning leave their mark – that's not a weakness of the Flair, it's material physics. Replacing them every one to two years, depending on how intensively you use it, keeps every Flair precise. Original Flair O-rings are made of food-safe silicone, built exactly for their respective seats, and reproduce the original clearance.

Which set fits your Flair

If you have a Flair 58, 58+, or 58+2, you need the 58 set. The brew head rings have a larger diameter than on the other models – they don't fit across models.

For the Pro series – PRO, PRO 2, and PRO 3 – there's one shared set. The three generations share the internal dimensions of the brew group. If you're not sure whether you have the older or newer generation, the set fits all three.

Classic, Standard, and Signature belong together. These three non-electric models use the same brew cylinder and the same plunger geometry. One set covers all three.

NEO Flex and Flair 2GO are the more compact, lighter models in the family. They come with a set of four rings, because the construction has fewer sealing surfaces.

The 49 PRO is the newest Flair and uses a 49 mm portafilter instead of the 58 mm of its larger sibling. Its own set, its own geometry – don't mix it up with the PRO set.

When a replacement makes sense

The O-rings in your Flair are surprisingly durable. With normal use, they last one to two years, often longer. But there are signs to watch for: a slight drip at the brew head during pre-infusion, water running along the stem, a pressure gauge that suddenly twitches or no longer returns to zero. If a ring visibly shows cracks, feels brittle, or has lost its shape – it's time for a replacement.

If you pull several espressos a day, you can replace the set proactively after 12 to 18 months. If you only use your Flair on weekends, you'll easily get two to three years out of it. Espresso is complex but not rocket science – and maintenance is part of the ritual, not stress. That's our observation, others may see it differently.

Available in the showroom

If you'd like to have your Flair serviced live in Bern or Zürich, you're warmly invited. In both of our showrooms – Gerberngasse 44 in Bern, Hagenholzstrasse 50b in Zürich – we're happy to show you where each ring sits and how the replacement works. Come by even without needing an O-Ring, just for a coffee and a chat. The moment you walk in, you're part of the community – whether you leave with something or not.

While you're already at it

If you're already servicing your Flair, it's worth looking at two related areas: good cleaning products for machines and grinders keep the brew path in shape just as long as the seals do. And if you want to refine the brewing experience itself, the Flair Espresso Collection has accessories like a preheat funnel, Bottomless Portafilter, or the pressure gauge kit.

For the daily setup around the Flair: a good grinder makes the biggest difference. Affordable and precise, we recommend the Comandante C40 as a hand grinder. If you want electric, the Varia Collection has the VS3. For more control, it's worth looking at Weber Workshops or Option-O Lagom. A precise Acaia scale or a compact Normcore scale makes every shot easier to track.

FAQ

How often should I replace the O-rings on my Flair?

It depends on use. With daily use, we recommend 12 to 18 months; with occasional use, the rings last two to three years. Visible cracks, brittle material, or a slight drip are clear signs it's time to replace them.

Which set fits my Flair?

Choose the variant by your model name: 58 / 58+ / 58+2 for the electric 58 mm models, PRO / PRO 2 / PRO 3 for the Pro series, Classic / Signature for the non-electric models, NEO Flex / 2GO for the compact models, and 49 PRO for the newest 49 mm model. If you're unsure, get in touch at office@coffeecoachingclub.ch.

Are the O-rings original Flair parts?

Yes. As the exclusive Swiss importer of Flair Espresso, we source all replacement parts directly from the manufacturer. Material, geometry, and fit match the original specifications.

What material are the O-rings made of?

Food-safe silicone, suitable for direct contact with brew water at espresso temperatures.

Can I see the O-rings live before buying?

Yes. In our showrooms in Bern and Zürich, you can view the sets on site, and we're happy to show you the replacement process on a sample machine. The addresses are available at coffeecoachingclub.ch.

How long does delivery take in Switzerland?

2 to 4 business days, Switzerland-wide and to Liechtenstein.

Roastery tip

After an O-Ring replacement, the first two or three shots often taste minimally different – that's imagination, but a nice one. Freshly serviced equipment changes the moment in the morning. If you're looking for a bean that really shines in manual brewing with the Flair: our full-bodied Cozy Chocolate or the nutty, dense Nutty Delight. For maximum body without any acidity, the Very Nutty. If you're in the mood for fruity complexity, the Wild Peach is a lively discovery. That's our recommendation, one of many.
