Flair Espresso O-Ring Sets – Replacement Seals for all Flair Models
A slight drip from the brew head. A plunger that no longer glides as smoothly as before. The needle of the pressure gauge twitching nervously. These are the moments when your Flair tells you: an O-ring needs attention. No drama, no repair – just a few minutes of care that will restore calm to your daily ritual.
Coffee Coaching Club is the exclusive Swiss importer of Flair Espresso and stocks original Flair O-Ring Sets for every model in the family. You choose your model, we deliver the right set – nationwide in Switzerland and to Liechtenstein within 2 to 4 working days.
What these O-rings do
O-rings are the most inconspicuous parts of your Flair and yet the most important. They keep the pressure where it belongs. They prevent water from escaping where it shouldn't. They ensure that the plunger glides smoothly and that the pressure gauge measures what is actually happening in the brew cylinder.
Over time, the silicone hardens. Heat, pressure changes, and occasional cleaning leave their marks – this is not a weakness of the Flair, but material physics. A change every one to two years, depending on the intensity of use, keeps every Flair precise. Original Flair O-rings are made of food-grade silicone, precisely designed for the respective seats, and reproduce the original gap dimension.

Which set fits your Flair
If you have a Flair 58, 58+, or 58+2, you need the 58 set. The brew head rings have a larger diameter than those of the other models – they do not fit interchangeably.
For the Pro series – PRO, PRO 2, and PRO 3 – there is a common set. The three generations share the internal dimensions of the brew group. If you are unsure whether you have the older or newer generation, the set fits all three.
Classic, Standard, and Signature belong together. These three non-electric models use the same brew cylinder and plunger geometry. One set covers all three.
NEO Flex and Flair 2GO are the more compact, lighter models in the family. They come with a set of four rings because the design has fewer sealing surfaces.
The 49 PRO is the newest Flair and uses a 49 mm portafilter instead of the 58 mm of its big sister. It has its own set, its own geometry, not to be confused with the PRO set.
When a change makes sense
The O-rings in your Flair are surprisingly durable. With normal use, they last one to two years, often longer. However, there are signs you can look for: a slight drip from the brew head during pre-infusion, water running down the stem, a pressure gauge that suddenly twitches or does not return from the zero position. If a ring visibly has cracks, appears brittle, or has lost its shape – it's time for a change.
Those who pull several espressos a day can proactively replace the set after 12 to 18 months. Those who only use their Flair on weekends can easily get two to three years out of it. Espresso is complex but not rocket science – and maintenance is part of the ritual, not a stressor. This is our observation; others may see it differently.
Available in the showroom
Anyone who wants to have their Flair serviced live in Bern or Zurich is cordially invited. In our two showrooms – Gerberngasse 44 in Bern, Hagenholzstrasse 50b in Zurich – we are happy to show you where each ring sits and how to change it. Come even if you don't need O-rings, just for a coffee and a chat. You belong to the community as soon as you walk in – whether you take something with you or not.
If you're waiting anyway
If you're already servicing your Flair, it's worth looking at two related areas: good cleaning products for machines and grinders keep the brew path in shape just as long as the seals. And if you want to refine the brewing experience itself, you'll find accessories like the Preheat Funnel, Bottomless Portafilter, or the Pressure Gauge Kit in the Flair Espresso Collection.
For the daily Flair setup, a good grinder makes the biggest difference. Affordable and precise, we recommend the Comandante C40 as a hand grinder. If you want electric, you'll find the VS3 in the Varia Collection. For more control, it's worth looking at Weber Workshops or Option-O Lagom. A precise Acaia scale or a compact Normcore scale makes every shot more reproducible.
FAQ
How often should I change the O-rings of my Flair?
That depends on usage. For daily use, we recommend 12 to 18 months; for occasional use, the rings last two to three years. Visible cracks, brittle material, or slight dripping are clear signs for a change.
Which set fits my Flair?
Choose the variant according to your model name: 58 / 58+ / 58+2 for the electric 58mm models, PRO / PRO 2 / PRO 3 for the Pro series, Classic / Signature for the non-electric models, NEO Flex / 2GO for the compact models, and 49 PRO for the newest 49mm model. If you are unsure, please contact office@coffeecoachingclub.ch.
Are the O-rings original Flair?
Yes. As the exclusive Swiss importer of Flair Espresso, we source all spare parts directly from the manufacturer. Material, geometry, and fit correspond to the original specifications.
What material are the O-rings made of?
Food-grade silicone, suitable for direct contact with brew water at espresso temperatures.
Can I see the O-rings live before purchasing?
Yes. In our showrooms in Bern and Zurich, you can view the sets on-site, and we are happy to demonstrate the change on a sample machine. You can find the addresses on coffeecoachingclub.ch.
How long does delivery take in Switzerland?
2 to 4 working days, nationwide in Switzerland and to Liechtenstein.
Roastery Tip
After an O-ring change, the first two or three shots often taste slightly different – it's imagination, but a nice one. Freshly maintained equipment changes the morning moment. If you're looking for a bean that really shines in manual Flair brewing: our full-bodied Cozy Chocolate or the nutty-dense Nutty Delight. For maximum body without any acidity, try the Very Nutty. If you fancy fruity complexity, the Wild Peach is a lively discovery. This is our recommendation, one of many.
