The bean hopper of the Swift Mini
On the Swift Mini, every shot starts at the top: the beans sit in the hopper, slide from there into the grinding unit and are ground at the push of a button and dosed into the portafilter. That makes the hopper not an accessory but the first part of the path – it has to close tightly, keep its shape and sit firmly on the grinder.
That is exactly where it ages. Over the years, coffee oils and cleaning agents make the plastic brittle, fine cracks grow from the edge, and a hopper that no longer sits firmly moves slightly with every grinding cycle. According to the item name, this spare part is the complete hopper for the Swift Mini.
When it is due
A crack runs down from the top edge, often visible first as a hairline. The hopper no longer sits firmly on the grinder or can be twisted. The closure no longer holds the beans back when it should be closed. The inner wall is so affected by coffee oil that it can no longer be cleaned properly. Or beans get stuck in the hopper instead of sliding down evenly.

For businesses and households with a Swift Mini whose hopper is cracked, no longer sits properly or can no longer be cleaned properly after years of service. The Swift Mini has its own hopper – if you have a different grinder, ask us first; we carry the hoppers for the other series separately.

Not part of this series, but on the same path of the bean: the coffee chute of the La Marzocco Jay, through which the ground coffee exits after the grinding unit, and the 0.2 mm flap for the Jay. Both sit below the grinding unit and have nothing to do with the bean supply.
What goes with it
Further down on the same grinder, the ceramic burrs, the grind adjustment knob, the tamper impeller of the Swift Mini with its segment O-ring for the tamper impeller and the filter baskets – filter basket for one cup and filter basket for two cups – do their work.
On the larger Swift you will find the tamper impeller of the Swift and the tamper shaft coupling. The hoppers of the other series are the bean hopper of the Pico and its lid. From our workshop in Bern and Zurich
We never wash a bean hopper in the dishwasher or with washing-up liquid; we clean it dry with a brush and then with a damp cloth – residual moisture in the hopper is the fastest route to clumping bean residue in the grinding unit. That is our routine in Bern and Zurich, not a manufacturer requirement. For the test shot afterwards we use Cozy Chocolate or Nutty Delight, and for maximum body without acidity Very Nutty. No returns
Service parts are excluded from exchange and return. They are sourced specifically for each order and cannot be resold after being installed or test-fitted on the machine. So before ordering, check the model, year of manufacture and serial number of your machine – or drop us a short message and we will clarify the fit together. Your rights in the event of defective goods remain unaffected.

What does “complete” mean in terms of scope of delivery?
The item name describes the hopper as complete. Our documentation does not list which individual parts belong to it, and we do not claim any scope here. If you need a specific part, write to us and we will ask.
Does the hopper also fit the larger Swift?
Our documentation lists it for the Swift Mini. It says nothing about the larger Swift, and we do not draw any conclusions from that. Send us the model and serial number of your grinder, and we will check it.
How many beans does it hold?
The capacity is not specified in our documentation. We do not give a figure here that we cannot back up.
Is there a part number for it?
No. None of our documentation gives a part number for this hopper, and we do not invent one here.
