Eureka Mignon Oro Stark black matte/chrome – espresso grinder with 65mm Pure Diamond burrs

The 65mm Pure Diamond burrs work quietly, the grounds fall loosely and without clumping into the portafilter. After the programmed time, it stops on its own. The Mignon Oro Stark is the flagship of the Mignon Oro range – a grind-by-time grinder with touchscreen and full-metal build in the compact Mignon format. This version is black matte with chrome; the Oro Stark is also available fully chrome-plated.
65mm Pure Diamond Burrs and ELR
The 65mm flat burrs are patented Pure Diamond grinding discs. Thanks to the special treatment, they stay sharp noticeably longer and deliver consistent particle size over time. The ELR system (Extreme Low Retention) keeps residue in the grinding chamber low and ensures dosing consistency of around ± 0.2 g. The ACE-System (Anti-Clump & Electrostaticity) reduces clumping and static charge – the grounds fall loosely into the portafilter.
Touchscreen and Grind by Time
On the touchscreen you program two dosing times in 0.1-second increments plus a manual shot. The grind setting adjusts steplessly and micrometrically – fine adjustments from espresso to filter, without fixed click stops. The height-adjustable, rubberized hands-free fork fits all portafilters, including bottomless ones. High-speed maintenance allows quick access to the grinding chamber without losing the grind setting.
Full Metal and Silent Technology
Base, hopper lid and outlet are made of polished aluminum – a fully metal build that keeps the grinder stable and quiet on the counter. The bean hopper holds 300 g. Silent Technology reduces noise to around 60 dB. At 7.4 kg, the Oro Stark stands solid and low-vibration.

Grind by Time or Single Dose?
The Oro Stark doses by programmed time from the 300 g bean hopper – ideal for several shots in a row. If you grind a fresh single dose per shot and change beans often, you're better served by a Single-Dose grinder.
How High Is the Retention?
Low, thanks to the ELR system – dosing consistency is around ± 0.2 g. For frequent bean changes without keeping stock in the hopper, a Single-Dose grinder is better suited.
How Loud Is It?
Thanks to Silent Technology, around 60 dB – noticeably quieter than conventional grinders. The best way to get a real sense of it is in person at the showroom.
