Flair Milk Jug 400 ml — Stainless Steel Pitcher with Removable Handle and Silicone Grip

You pick up the pitcher. You feel the silicone grip all over your hand — cool, soft, non-slip. You fill milk up to the 200-milliliter mark — the line is laser-etched inside the stainless steel, you can see it even under the milk. The front curvature is subtle, starting about a third of the way from the bottom and opening up the pitcher's center for better steam wand placement. You clip on the wand, hold the pitcher at an angle, and start steaming. When you're done and pour, the milk flows through the rounded spout — more precisely than with a straight spout, where it runs down uncontrollably.

This is the Flair Milk Steaming Pitcher in everyday use. A 400-milliliter stainless steel pitcher with one detail that sets it apart from other models: a removable handle. With the handle, you have control and stability for classic pours. Without the handle, you can perform pitcher-spinning maneuvers for advanced latte art techniques. You decide what suits each pour. We at Coffee Coaching Club are the exclusive Swiss importer for Flair Espresso.

What makes the Flair Milk Pitcher special

Removable handle with silicone grip

The handle can be removed in seconds — a mechanism with integrated silicone heat protection. With handle: comfortable classic operation with a defined pivot point for reproducible steaming. Without handle: pitcher-spinning movements for latte art maneuvers that are difficult to perform with a fixed handle. Those just starting out use the handle. Those learning latte art maneuvers or developing their own movements switch to the handleless version.

Front curvature one third from the bottom

Most pitchers have a consistently straight front. The Flair pitcher has a subtle curvature that starts a third of the way from the bottom. This opens up space for the steam wand — you can position it more easily without having to hold the pitcher at an angle. When steaming, the curvature helps the milk find the right swirling motion.

Laser-etched volume markings 100–350 ml

Laser-etched markings inside the stainless steel for 100, 150, 200, 250, 300, and 350 ml. Reproducible dosing without weighing. 200 ml for a cappuccino, 100 ml for a cortado, 300 ml for a large latte — same line, same drink, every day.

Rounded spout for latte art

The spout has a subtly rounded tip, tested with professional baristas and latte art world champions. The effect: controlled flow when pouring slowly, more precise lines for detailed latte art (rosetta, tulip, swan). When stopping quickly, the shape prevents milk from running down the pitcher.

Integrated thermometer slot

The handle has an integrated holder for the Flair Digital or Analog Thermometer. When the handle is removed, a pitcher clip solution remains. For those aiming for reproducible milk temperatures — typical sweet spot 60–65 °C for classic drinks — this offers a plug-and-play solution. Thermometer optional, sold separately.

Who is the Flair Milk Pitcher for?

We regularly see three profiles in the showroom:

Home setups with Flair machines. Those who have a Flair 58+2, Flair 49 Pro, or another Flair machine and froth milk with it will find the Flair Milk Pitcher to be an ergonomically and aesthetically suitable companion.

Latte art learners. Those who want to practice pouring techniques will benefit from the pitcher's design concept — removable handle for spinning maneuvers, rounded spout for clean lines, laser-etched markings for reproducible quantities. Plus the option to insert a thermometer to monitor milk temperature in real-time.

400 ml use case setups. Cortado, cappuccino, small latte — for these drink sizes, 400 ml is the sweet spot. For large lattes over 12 oz or multiple drinks simultaneously, the pitcher is too small; in that case, a 600 ml or 900 ml model from our pitcher assortment is worthwhile.

Where the Flair Pitcher fits into the CCC range

Pitcher Volume Key Feature Use
Flair Milk Steaming Pitcher 400 ml Removable handle, silicone grip, thermometer slot Single-drink home setup, latte art practice
Rhino Pro Stealth 350 ml 350 ml 1mm stainless steel, non-stick coating Single cappuccino, flat white, compact setup
Rhino Pro Stealth 600 ml 600 ml Professional all-rounder Larger lattes, two drinks simultaneously
Rhino Pro Stealth 900 ml 900 ml Professional volume Café workflow, multiple drinks at once

The Flair Milk Pitcher has a clear character — removable handle for latte art flexibility, integrated thermometer slot. If you're looking for a classic professional pitcher with a non-stick coating, Rhino is a better choice. If you use the Flair ecosystem and want a single-drink tool for 400 ml, this is the answer.

Ordering, Delivery, and Consultation

The Flair Milk Steaming Pitcher can be ordered online from the Coffee Coaching Club or picked up in the showroom in Zurich Oerlikon or Bern. Delivery throughout Switzerland and Liechtenstein in 2-4 business days. As the exclusive Swiss importer for Flair Espresso, we have pitchers and the entire Flair range in stock.

In the showroom, you can hold the pitcher, test the removable handle, and practice a few sample pours with our machines. If you have any questions about choosing between Flair and Rhino or about latte art technique, we'll go through it with you.

Cleaning and Care

Rinse immediately with warm water after each use, while the milk is still fresh. Clean with warm soapy water and a non-abrasive sponge. The silicone grip is dishwasher safe, but Flair recommends hand washing to maintain the polished stainless steel shine. For stubborn milk residue, soak with Urnex BioCaf Alkaline Milk Cleaner in a 30ml per 500ml solution.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why does the Flair pitcher have a removable handle?

The removable handle allows for two operating styles per pitcher. With handle: classic latte art pouring with a defined pivot point — ideal for reproducible pours. Without handle: pitcher-spinning maneuvers, where professionals rotate the pitcher in their hand to create special latte art movements. You choose what suits each pour.

Which drink sizes are possible with 400 ml?

Single cappuccino (6 oz cup), cortado (4 oz), flat white (6–7 oz), small latte (8 oz). For larger lattes from 12 oz or two drinks simultaneously, 400 ml is not enough — then choose a 600 ml pitcher.

Which thermometer fits the pitcher?

The thermometer slot in the handle fits two Flair models: Flair Digital Milk Steaming Thermometer (touch-screen, stainless steel probe) and Flair Analog Milk Steaming Thermometer (classic, stainless steel probe, water-resistant). Both sold separately. With the handle removed, a pitcher clip mechanism works.

Does the pitcher work with all types of milk?

Yes. Works with cow's milk, oat, almond, soy, and coconut milk. Plant milk sticks a bit more to stainless steel — rinse immediately after use, and there will be no problems.

Can the pitcher go in the dishwasher?

Possible, but not recommended. Dishwasher detergents can attack the polished stainless steel shine over time. Hand washing with warm soapy water is Flair's recommendation.

What distinguishes the Flair Pitcher from the Rhino models?

Three main differences: the Flair pitcher has a removable handle for latte art flexibility, an integrated thermometer slot, and only comes in 400 ml. The Rhino Pro Stealth line has 1mm stainless steel, non-stick coating, and comes in three sizes (350, 600, 900 ml). Both are high-quality pitchers — the choice depends on the use case and preferences.

Which beans do you recommend for milk drinks?

From our perspective: Cozy Chocolate for a classic cappuccino with a chocolate-caramel profile, Very Nutty for maximum body in milk without acidity, Nutty Delight as a balanced daily driver. Lighter roasted beans like Wild Peach are better suited for single-origin espressos.

Do you offer Swiss service for Flair products?

Yes. Coffee Coaching Club is the exclusive Swiss importer for Flair Espresso. We have pitchers, machines, grinders, and the entire Flair range available in both showrooms, plus personal consultation. For questions: office@coffeecoachingclub.ch.

Roastery Tip

The Flair Milk Pitcher is a pitcher for learning — the removable handle makes it a learning platform for latte art maneuvers that you can't practice with a fixed handle. My suggestion from showroom practice: start with the handle, learn classic rosetta and tulip, build clean, reproducible pours. When that's solid, take off the handle and experiment with spinning. You'll notice that the movements are different because the weight is distributed differently. For cappuccino, start with Cozy Chocolate — the chocolate-caramel flavors come through the milk and give the drink a clear character. Clean the pitcher immediately after each drink, and the polished stainless steel shine will last for years. This is my view from the showroom, one of many.
