Hario Immersion Dripper Switch Base – base with ball valve for the V60 Switch
A stainless steel ball in the base holds the water in the dripper while the coffee steeps. Press the lever and the ball opens the outlet, the coffee drains. Immersion and pour-over with the same dripper.
The Switch Base is the lower part of the Hario Switch & Match system. It is not a complete dripper: a Switch & Match Ceramic Dripper 02 sits on top. The base is made of silicone, the lever of PCT resin, the ball of stainless steel.

Is the Hario Switch Base a complete dripper?
No. It is the base. Only with a Switch & Match Ceramic Dripper 02 on top do you get the complete Switch.
How does the lever of the Switch Base work?
At rest, a stainless steel ball closes the outlet and the coffee steeps in the dripper. Press the lever and the coffee drains. You decide the steeping time.
Can the Switch Base go in the dishwasher?
Yes. Hario lists the Switch Base as dishwasher safe.
How fast is the Switch Base delivered?

Tip from the roastery: With the Switch you brew the same bean once as immersion and once as pour-over and compare directly. We start with Cozy Chocolate or Nutty Delight, around 60 g of coffee per litre of water, weighed rather than guessed. If you like it fruitier, add Wild Peach. That is our recommendation, one of many.
