And this Navy Base is the foundation for it.
Switch & Match – build your own dripper
The Switch Base is not a complete dripper – it's the base for the Hario Switch & Match system. On top sits the ceramic dripper of your choice, below the Base in the color you want. Navy, Oil Green, Ivory, Cranberry Red, or Black. Over 70 combinations are possible. The Base provides the function – immersion or continuous flow, depending on when you press the lever. The dripper on top provides the aesthetic.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between a normal V60 Dripper and the Switch System?
A classic V60 allows water to flow through immediately – extraction is continuous. The Switch blocks the flow until you press the lever: you determine the steep time. This makes the brewing process more controllable and forgiving – less dependent on pouring technique and timing.
Is this Base a complete dripper?
No – the Switch Base is the stand. It requires a compatible V60 Switch & Match Ceramic Dripper on top. Both together form the complete Switch & Match System.
Which drippers is the Switch Base Navy compatible with?
With all Hario V60 Switch & Match Ceramic Drippers in size 02. Not compatible with the classic V60 Glass Dripper.
Can I clean the Switch Base in the dishwasher?
Yes – but we do not recommend it.
