Rhino replacement bar for the Domestic Knock Box – the one part that really wears out
With a knock box, it's rarely the box that breaks. What gives way is the bar: day after day the portafilter lands on the same spot, the rubber goes soft, the bar starts turning with it, and eventually the puck lands next to the box instead of in it.
This replacement bar is made for the Rhino Domestic Knock Box. Old bar out, new bar in – and the box, which is otherwise still in perfect shape, stays in service.
What you get
A single knock bar as a spare part for the Rhino Domestic Knock Box. The box itself is not included.

Who it's for
For anyone whose Rhino box has been sitting next to the machine for years and whose bar has started to wobble. And for anyone who would, on principle, rather buy one part than throw away plastic and metal that still works.
What goes with it
The matching box is the Rhino Knock Box. You'll find the brand's full range under Rhino Coffee Gear, and more models under knock boxes & knock containers.
Tip from our café
Before you order: turn the box over and look at how the bar is held. In our experience, people often mix up the Domestic box with the larger Professional version – the bars are not the same length. That's an everyday observation, not a manufacturer specification: if in doubt, send us a photo and we'll tell you which one fits. To dial in the shot again afterwards, we use Nutty Delight, for chocolatey notes Cozy Chocolate and for maximum body Very Nutty. All our roasts are under coffee beans.
Frequently asked questions
Is the Knock Box included?
No. You only get the replacement bar. We sell the box separately.
Does the bar fit every Rhino Knock Box?
It's designed for the Domestic version. The Professional and Thumpa versions differ in mounting and length. If in doubt, send us a photo of your box.
Do I need tools to swap it?
Usually not. The bar sits in the two side mounts; light pressure is enough.
How can I tell the bar needs replacing?
When it turns as you knock, shifts sideways or the rubber is torn. Then the puck no longer comes out cleanly.
Can I see the part in the showroom?
Our showrooms in Bern (Gerberngasse 44) and Zurich (Hagenholzstrasse 50b) show a wide selection, but not our entire range – the display changes. Drop us a quick line at [email protected] before your visit, and we will check whether the product you have in mind is currently there.
