A skewed tamp creates channeling. The water shoots through these cracks and over-extracts locally (bitter compounds are released), while the rest of the puck remains under-extracted (body and sweetness are lacking).
The Cinoart PTB-MY homogeneously compacts the coffee grounds using the patented GLS system.
