Mahlkönig E80 Supreme – 80mm espresso grinder for continuous use
Lunch rush, a line to the door, and every shot still runs the same: the beans drop into the 80mm burrs, a quiet whir, and after about three seconds the dose for a double sits in the portafilter – cup after cup at the same grind size. The E80 Supreme is built exactly for this pace under load.
It's the fastest espresso grinder in its class and descends directly from the legendary Peak. As a partner of Mahlkönig, we set up the E80 Supreme for your business and support you with the initial dial-in.
What makes the E80 Supreme special
Disc Distance Detection (DDD)
The grind size is set via the actual distance between the burrs, so you can read it on the display in micrometers. A proven setting can be found again exactly, any time, even after cleaning or a burr change.
80mm specialty steel
The burrs carry a purpose-built tooth geometry for an even grind profile down into fine espresso ranges – the basis for clean extraction.
Speed under load
6–7 grams per second at 250 µm, a double shot in about three seconds. The E80 stays composed even during rush periods.
Active cooling
Two fans regulate the temperature in the grinding chamber and keep the grounds under about 50°C. This keeps the grind size stable across many shots.
Illuminated, adjustable spout
The spout adapts to the portafilter and is illuminated – the grounds land centered exactly where they belong.
3.5" display
High-resolution and readable from a wide angle. It shows the burr distance, guides you through the grinding modes, and stores two grind times plus one manual setting.
On top of that, the E80 runs comparatively quiet – a detail you notice all day long in an open café setting. With espresso, there's no "right" or "wrong": grind size, dose and ratio are the variables you use to dial in your own taste. A common starting point is 1:2, so around 18g of ground coffee to about 36g of espresso.

Roastery tip
For continuous bar operation, we recommend round, chocolatey-nutty roasts that forgive small variations and work equally well with milk or on their own: Cozy Chocolate, Nutty Delight and Very Nutty. If you're looking for a fruitier cup, discover with Wild Peach or Bright Cassis a brighter side. Discover all the beans in our coffee bean selection. That's our recommendation, one among many.
