The three categories in this collection

1. Coffee Beans from Our Own Roastery

Since 2025, we have been roasting our beans in our own drum roastery in Switzerland. Roast master Yalcin works as a coffee chemist and flavor developer on precise roasting profiles that deliver a clear aroma profile and consistent cup quality.

Classic Espresso Roasts:

  • Cozy Chocolate – Naturally processed beans from Brazil, full body, chocolate sweetness, my all-rounder
  • Nutty Delight – Blend from Brazil and India, nutty-spicy profile, forgiving on almost any machine
  • Very Nutty – Strong Indian Robusta content, maximum crema and body, classic Italian profile
  • Chestnut Delight – Blend with depth and warmth, chestnut aroma in the finish
  • Creamy Chestnut – Roasted chestnut aroma, dense texture

Light and Fruity Roasts (Omniroast for Espresso and Filter):

  • Wild Peach – Lightly roasted omniroast with peach and floral notes, ideal for PID-controlled machines
  • Bright Cassis – Lively omniroast with cassis notes, fruity and clear

Additional specialties are added seasonally. All beans are roasted in small batches, with clearly marked roast dates, and packed in airtight bags with aroma valves. Tip: After opening the bag, use an Airscape container to keep the aromas fresh for weeks.

2. Mineralization Drops for Precise Brewing Water (Apax Lab)

Coffee Coaching Club is the exclusive Swiss importer of Apax Labs. Mineralization drops are added to distilled or reverse osmosis water to create precise mineral profiles for espresso or filter coffee. The result: brewing water with precisely adjusted hardness and buffering that does not distort the aromas of a bean.

Background information on water chemistry and instructions for composing: Composing Coffee Water Yourself.

3. Syrups and Concentrates (Monin)

For latte macchiato, coffee drinks, iced coffees, cocktails, and bar classics. Monin has been a French syrup producer since 1912 and is established in the specialty coffee scene as the manufacturer whose syrups deliver specific aroma profiles without obtrusive artificiality.

Frequently Asked Questions

How fresh are CCC coffee beans?

We roast in small batches in our own drum roastery. Each bag has a clearly marked roast date. Espresso develops its full aroma spectrum approximately 7 to 14 days after roasting ("degassing"). Filter coffee is usually ideal from day 4. With correct storage in an airtight container (such as Airscape), the quality remains consistent for about 4 to 6 weeks after the roast date.

Why do I need mineralization drops?

Brewing water makes up about 98% of the content of your cup – its mineralization determines how lively the aromas appear. Tap water in Bern or Zurich has a certain hardness and buffering that doesn't always perfectly match the specific roast. With Apax Lab drops, you combine distilled or osmosis water to create precisely mineralized brewing water – fruity beans benefit from Jamm, classic espressos from Tonik. More on this at Composing Coffee Water Yourself.

Are the syrups vegan or gluten-free?

Allergen and ingredient declarations can be found on the respective product page. Many Monin syrups are vegan and gluten-free – for binding information, please refer to the manufacturer's specifications per product.

How are beans delivered?

Freshly sealed in airtight bags with aroma valves. Shipping throughout Switzerland and to Liechtenstein in 2 to 4 business days. Free shipping for orders over CHF 60. Click and Collect in Bern and Zurich.

Does Coffee Coaching Club offer professional quantities for cafés?

Yes. Our B2B division delivers roasted coffee in 1 kg and 5 kg containers, mineralization drops, and syrups in corresponding quantities. Inquiries to office@coffeecoachingclub.ch.

Can I sample the beans before buying?

Yes. In the cafés and showrooms in Bern (Gerberngasse 44) and Zurich Oerlikon (Hagenholzstrasse 50b), you can drink the assortment beans as espresso, cappuccino, or pour-over. For a structured cupping with a comparison of several beans, please register in advance – Yalcin or a staff member will be happy to guide you through it.

What is the VAT treatment of food?

Everyday food items in Switzerland are subject to the reduced VAT rate of currently 2.6%. Coffee beans, syrups, and mineralization drops are taxed in this category. The breakdown of VAT can be found on your invoice.

Roastery Tip

If you're just starting in the CCC world, begin with a forgiving roast. Cozy Chocolate or Nutty Delight work on almost any machine and with almost any brewing water – ideal for getting your grinder and workflow dialed in. Once your setup is stable, you can experiment with light roasts like Wild Peach – that's where the mineralization drops come in: Apax Lab Jamm brings out the peach and floral notes more clearly in the cup, highlighting linalool and geraniol. For classic weekend lattes with Nutty Delight, a dash of Monin Vanilla can add a dessert note to the nutty depth – not every day has to be aromatically strict. This is our recommendation, one of many.
