Hario Water Dripper Drop – compact cold drip for home
Drop by drop, cold water seeps through the coffee, and what remains is a clear, sweet concentrate – the same calm cold drip idea as the large tower, just more compact.
The Water Dripper Drop is Hario's smaller, more affordable cold drip variant – ideal for home use. We carry Hario at Coffee Coaching Club.
How cold drip tastes
Because no hot water is involved, hardly any bitter oils dissolve. What remains is a soft, slightly sweet concentrate with fine aromas and very low acidity. The water drips slowly through the coffee bed; the slower it runs, the more intense the result. The brew volume is around 600 ml.

Who it's for
For anyone who wants to try cold drip and start out compact. Anyone looking for larger volumes and the full tower experience can take a look at the Water Dripper Clear or the Shizuku.
What goes with it
For cold drip you grind fairly coarse – a grinder from the hand grinders or the electric coffee grinders. Accessories and filters in the Hario collection. Chocolatey, nutty beans like Cozy Chocolate and Nutty Delight, and fruity notes with the Wild Peach.
Frequently asked questions
How much coffee does the Water Dripper Drop yield?
Around 600 ml of cold drip concentrate – enough for several glasses over ice or diluted.
Which grind size is suitable?
A fairly coarse grind, similar to French press, so the water runs through evenly.
How does it differ from the Water Dripper Clear?
The Drop is more compact and more affordable; the Water Dripper Clear is the larger glass tower with an adjustable drip valve and 780 ml.
Roastery tip
Cold drip rewards sweet, round beans – the chocolate and nutty notes of Cozy Chocolate or Nutty Delight come through especially dense in the cold concentrate. That's our recommendation, one of many.
