biszu 150 CHF Shopguthaben sichern →A tamper that stands out even when idle: the Special Edition features a rich anthracite titanium PVD coating and feels noticeably high-quality in the hand. You guide it into the portafilter basket, feel the defined resistance of the spring, hear the soft click at the pressure point – and you know, this tamp will be just like the last one.
The same spring-loaded mechanism as the classic pressure-regulating tamper, as a Special Edition with titanium PVD coating.
The mechanics remain the same: a pre-calibrated spring always releases the same force when triggered, and the self-leveling plate rests on the edge of the basket, making the tamp even. Three interchangeable springs are included – 15 lb, 25 lb, and 30 lb, with the medium one already installed. When tamping, you press and turn clockwise simultaneously for the most consistent result.
The titanium PVD coating on the stainless steel is antistatic, harder than the steel underneath, and corrosion-resistant, and it significantly reduces coffee grounds sticking to the tool after tamping. The result is not necessarily a better espresso, but a comparable one from shot to shot – and that's exactly what helps with dial-in. This is just our view, one of many.

A Tamping Station keeps the portafilter stable – it and the matching Puck Screen, WDT Tool, or Dosing Funnel are waiting in our Normcore Collection. For those seeking maximum material quality in accessories, check out the Weber Workshops Collection.
Grinder and machine form the trio behind it: affordable precision in the Varia Collection, maximum clarity at Weber Workshops or Option-O. You can find the right espresso machine using our consultation tool.
53.3 mm for Breville and Sage machines with 54mm portafilters. 58.5 mm for standard 58mm portafilters, such as La Marzocco, Rocket, ECM, Profitec, or Lelit.
It is antistatic, harder than the stainless steel underneath, and corrosion-resistant. Coffee grounds stick significantly less to the tool, meaning less cleaning.
The medium 25-lb spring is pre-installed. 15 lb for finer grind and lighter roasts, 30 lb for stronger pressure and denser pucks. All three springs are included.

With a pressure-regulated tamper, choosing our full-bodied beans is particularly worthwhile. For dense, sweet espresso, we particularly like Cozy Chocolate and Nutty Delight. If you like it full and round without any acidity, stick with Very Nutty; for a fruity experience, Wild Peach goes into the grinder. This is our recommendation, one of many, and every bean you enjoy is the right one.
