The knob is made of solid beech wood and finished in a vibrant blue. With a 44 mm top diameter, it rests comfortably between your fingers and gives the cranking motion a smooth, round feel. It's attached without tools – pull off the old knob, put on the new one, done.
Haptics and aesthetics influence enjoyment long before the first sip: a surface that feels good and a color that matches your personal space make daily grinding a moment to look forward to. This is our observation, one of many.

For anyone who wants to personalize their Comandante C40 with color or replace a worn-out knob. Wood is a natural product – grain and color tone will vary slightly with each piece, making every knob unique. Nobody needs it. Those who want it know why.
You can find more original parts and personalization options in the Comandante Collection – central axle, cranks, and the Red Clix for finer grind resolution. Find the matching grinder in Hand Coffee Grinders. For brewing afterwards: Pour-Over Drippers. When weighing, your workflow decides – compact and affordable with a scale from the Normcore Collection, or with an app and flow rate display from the Acaia Collection.
It fits the Comandante C40, including the MK3 and MK4 generations. The C60 Baracuda comes standard with the larger Big-Joe knob – the 44mm standard knob is not intended for it.
The top diameter is 44 mm – the standard size for Comandante wooden knobs.
Tool-free: pull off the old knob and attach the new one. No screws, no tools needed.
Made from solid beech wood, colored. Since wood is a natural product, every grain is slightly different.

From our coffee roastery: For hand grinding, a full-bodied bean is worthwhile, rewarding the effort – Cozy Chocolate and Nutty Delight are our recommendations for the vast majority, dense, chocolatey, nutty. If you're looking for maximum body without acidity, go for Very Nutty; if you want to discover a fruity experience, go for Wild Peach. This is our recommendation, one of many.
